String of Turtles is a mesmerizing, shade-loving tropical trailing succulent (widely grown as a spectacular indoor house plant) prized for its delicate, cascading vines of tiny, perfectly round leaves adorned with intricate, contrasting light green and silvery-white patterns that closely resemble miniature turtle shells. Growing String of Turtles
Light: Bright, indirect light; thrives in dappled shade or gentle morning sun when grown outdoors, but requires strict protection from harsh, direct sunlight, which will easily scorch its delicate, semi-succulent leaves and fade their unique, striking patterns.
Soil: Rich, airy, well-drained soil; prefers a highly organic, loamy potting mix amended with perlite, fine orchid bark, or pumice to retain adequate moisture while ensuring excellent aeration and rapid drainage.
Water: Moderate; water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist, allowing the top inch or two of soil to dry out completely between waterings. Its semi-succulent leaves store water, making it extremely susceptible to root rot and leaf drop in heavy, waterlogged soil or if left sitting in standing water.
Maintenance: Exceptionally low maintenance. Provide plenty of ambient humidity by using a pebble tray or humidifier for optimal growth. Prune trailing stems lightly to encourage a bushier, denser crown at the soil level, and gently pinch off any small, insignificant flower spikes that appear to direct the plant's energy back into producing its spectacular foliage.
Wildlife: Generally grown indoors; outdoors, its fleshy foliage is naturally deer-resistant. It is completely non-toxic and safe for curious pets.
Hardiness: Perennial in USDA zones 10–11; widely grown as a spectacular, fast-growing shade annual in cooler regions or overwintered indoors as a vibrant, year-round house plant.

String of Turtles plants are shipped as healthy young starts in 4" nursery pots. Allow 1–2 weeks after arrival for plants to recover from shipping and resume active growth before repotting or planting outdoors.

It was my very first plant I order online so I wasn’t sure what to expect but when it got here and in one piece and as long as it is I was shocked but very HAPPY.
It's doing really well. I will be transferring it to a bigger pot probably by the weekend. I wish I had a little more instructions on how to care for this variety, and what to do in the fall.
Plants arrived fine.. got them planted. Now i will let you know next spring. If they survive and grow back.. So far, i am ok with them

Package came delivered just like it said it would I pulled it out it looked good. I put it in some water for about a half hour and put it in my 30 gallon tub and I got three things to go with it.

Plants arrived in great condition. This plant has only been in the ground about 10 days and is growing a lot. The plant cage is 12” tall so it’s doing well. I put guards around my new plants for a little while because I have bunnies who love tender young leaves.

I got 2 mystery plants (one indoor and one outdoor). The indoor was a pilea and the outdoor plant was a white blackberry. White blackberry was dramatic, but it’s making a comeback and the pilea is doing great!

Need to upgrade your packaging. I would suggest taping the plant in place in the cardboard tube on the count that it slid and smashed itself. Luckily, it's a strong plant and should recover. Hoping.for the best.

The plant arrived after a few delivery reroutes. It came with three leaves two so far are healthy one was dying and has since died. The two remaining leaves appear to be doing well.
