Warrior Bunching Onion (Allium fistulosum ‘Warrior’) is a fast-growing, non-bulbing green onion cultivar valued for its crisp texture and strong, pungent onion flavor, ideal for fresh use in salads, salsas, garnishes, and cooked dishes like stir-fries and soups. Plants form tight upright clumps of hollow, blue‑green cylindrical stalks with short white bases about ½ inch thick, creating neat rows of scallion‑like stems that are easy to harvest and clean. Highly adaptable and cold-hardy. Warrior is well suited to garden beds or containers, providing a reliable, cut‑and‑come‑again harvest over a long season when sown successively.
Foliage: Slender, hollow blue‑green stalks with mild to moderately pungent onion flavor; both green tops and white bases are fully edible and used much like scallions or spring onions in fresh and cooked dishes.
Growth Habit: Upright, clumping habit forming dense bunches 12 to 22 inches tall, with leaves emerging from a compact basal cluster rather than forming large bulbs.
Flowers & Seeds: If allowed to mature, sturdy stalks can bear rounded umbels of small whitish flowers that set seed, but most gardeners harvest plants before flowering to maintain tender texture.
Flavor: Crisp and juicy with a strong, clean onion bite, excellent for adding depth to salads, grilled dishes, stir‑fries, and as a garnish similar to scallions or Welsh onions.
Light: Performs best in full sun, though it can tolerate light partial shade with somewhat reduced vigor.
Soil: Rich, well‑drained loam or sandy loam with good organic matter; neutral to slightly acidic soil is ideal for steady growth and clean white shanks.
Water: Requires consistent, even moisture; avoid prolonged drought or waterlogged conditions to prevent stress, toughness, or rot.
Temperature: Thrives in cool to mild conditions; seeds germinate well once soil is around 45°F and grow best roughly between 60°F and 85°F, with good cold tolerance for fall and overwintering in suitable climates.
Spacing: Sow or transplant in bands or rows, thinning to about ½ to 1 inch between seedlings for bunching, with rows spaced 8 to 12 inches apart to allow clumps to size up.
Harvest: Ready for green onion use in about 60 days from sowing; harvest individual stalks or entire clusters as needed, cutting or pulling while stems are pencil‑thick to thumb‑thick for best texture.
Sow seeds shallowly, about ¼ inch deep, in finely prepared soil in early spring as soon as the ground is workable, or in late summer to fall in mild climates for spring.
Germination typically occurs in 10–15 days under favorable temperatures, with uniform stands forming quickly when soil stays evenly moist.
Thin seedlings gradually to the desired spacing, using thinnings as very young scallions and allowing remaining plants to form dense bunches for continued cutting and extended harvest.
Warrior Onion seeds are supplied as high‑quality, non‑GMO seed chosen for strong vigor, uniform stalks, and dependable germination, suitable for direct sowing outdoors or for starting indoors and transplanting. Properly stored in a cool, dry location, these seeds provide a reliable source of flavorful bunching onions for beds, borders, and containers across a wide range of temperate growing regions.

I really am thankful for you taking the time and looking at my original pics and sending me a replacement plant. The replacement arrived with one new closed leaf in great shape. As you can see in the picture, it now has a second new leaf starting. And you can see my original plant looking fine with 2 terrific leaves since its arrival. As our weather has been very pleasant, I plan to pot both very soon. Thank you!
They arrived in excellent condition. Planted them about 4 weeks age. They are healthy and blooming.

I am so very impressed with this company! I had bought one of the mini banana trees first, which started dying right after I got it. After contacting the company, they agreed to give me a credit, with which I bought these two honeysuckle plants. Please excuse the weeds & bad fencing. Hopefully these little plants will grow up & cover the fence. I will be working on weeding and continuing to build a flower bed at the base of the fence. Thank you Blossomdale! I look forward to buying more plants in the future.

The fig trees arrived today in small pots very well packed. I removed them and watered them. I will let them "rest" for 4 to 5 days before I repot them and prepare them for winter, inside. Very pleased with these trees. After getting other sellers rotten packing jobs this was a real treat. I may buy more in the spring of 2027.
Store owner replied: Thank you for your kind review, Donald! We're delighted your fig trees arrived well-packed and in good condition. We appreciate your support and hope they thrive through the winter! :)

I was very impressed with how well my 18 little lantanas were packed. All looked healthy and I planted them yesterday. It was a little difficult unpacking them but that’s the price I paid for having you pack them so well. I was a little worried when I saw UPS coming to the door with the box slung over the driver’s shoulder despite the fact that the box was marked with an ⬆️ and it said live plants. But all is well. Now if I can just keep them alive.
Store owner replied: Thank you for your review, Beth! We're glad your plant arrived quickly and is doing much better. We appreciate you choosing Blossomdale! 😊
Lovely little guy-- impossible to find coral honeysuckle at my local nursery for whatever reason. I really appreciate that the Blossomdale staff kept it and nurtured it a little longer so it would be more robust for the trip. Can't wait to put it in the ground and watch it thrive :-) Will order from them again.
The mahoi double banana tree delivered on time, perfectly protected from shipping damage, and ready to plant. Love my new banana tree!
It was my very first plant I order online so I wasn’t sure what to expect but when it got here and in one piece and as long as it is I was shocked but very HAPPY.
It's doing really well. I will be transferring it to a bigger pot probably by the weekend. I wish I had a little more instructions on how to care for this variety, and what to do in the fall.
Plants arrived fine.. got them planted. Now i will let you know next spring. If they survive and grow back.. So far, i am ok with them
Erigeron Karvinskianus Fleabane ‘Santa Barbara/Mexican Daisy'
Just waiting for when they get big and tall and start producing bananas.
Plant arrived quickly and came in good shape!
Package came delivered just like it said it would I pulled it out it looked good. I put it in some water for about a half hour and put it in my 30 gallon tub and I got three things to go with it.
Banana tree came nice and healthy and ready to go!

Haven’t transplanted yet, but it’s a beautiful plant. We are gifting it to a friend that moved…Friendship Plant is very appropriate!
I love it
Truly tiny is still tiny but healthy!
It seems to be doing well but could have been packed better.
Blossom Dale did a wonderful job with packaging and Sedum Autumn Joy plants arrived in great condition and are thriving. So far so good.
The milkweed is not doing well...
Very healthy cutting. Followed the instructions and let it get acclimated to its new surroundings for a couple of weeks before repotting. Would not hesitate to purchase from this business again 😃
Plants arrived in great condition. This plant has only been in the ground about 10 days and is growing a lot. The plant cage is 12” tall so it’s doing well. I put guards around my new plants for a little while because I have bunnies who love tender young leaves.
Got this for my wife’s birthday. Plan to pot it soon.
I got 2 mystery plants (one indoor and one outdoor). The indoor was a pilea and the outdoor plant was a white blackberry. White blackberry was dramatic, but it’s making a comeback and the pilea is doing great!
Came in well packed and the plant was alive and healthy!
Even though the newest leaf was broken off it seems to be doing well
My little banana arrived happy and healthy!
The plant arrived well packaged with instructions on how to get started. It had been doing really well and has been growing like a weed!
It is just putting roots down now.
