Blonde Sedge is a stunning, sun-loving evergreen ornamental grass prized for its spectacular, continuous profusion of incredibly fine, silvery-green to pale blonde foliage that cascades gracefully in a sweeping, weeping habit. This exceptionally tough, adaptable selection is known for its remarkable, mop-like texture and bright, luminous coloration that creates a dramatic, softening statement piece for any landscape. Growing Blonde Sedge
Light: Full sun to partial shade; thrives in bright, direct sunlight to produce the most brightly colored foliage and maintain a tight, densely clumping form. It easily tolerates dappled afternoon shade, particularly in hotter climates where strict protection from intense afternoon heat is beneficial.
Soil: Light, well-drained soil; highly adaptable to average, sandy, or loamy soils as long as drainage is excellent. It is extremely susceptible to root rot in heavy, waterlogged clay, especially during the cold, wet winter months.
Water: Moderate; water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out completely between waterings. It is remarkably drought-tolerant once mature but performs best with consistent moisture during extremely hot spells.
Maintenance: Exceptionally low maintenance. Rather than cutting the plant back hard to the ground in spring like typical ornamental grasses, simply comb through the remarkably fine, hair-like foliage with your fingers or a rake to gently remove any dead or brown blades and maintain a tidy, graceful appearance.
Wildlife: Generally grown for its striking foliage; naturally deer- and rabbit-resistant due to its tough, wiry texture.
Hardiness: Perennial in USDA zones 7–9; widely grown as a spectacular, fast-growing seasonal accent in cooler regions or strictly contained in patio pots.

Blonde Sedge plants are shipped as healthy young starts in 4" nursery pots. Allow 1–2 weeks after arrival for plants to recover from shipping and resume active growth before repotting or planting outdoors.

Plant arrived quickly and came in good shape!
Package came delivered just like it said it would I pulled it out it looked good. I put it in some water for about a half hour and put it in my 30 gallon tub and I got three things to go with it.
Banana tree came nice and healthy and ready to go!

Plants arrived in great condition. This plant has only been in the ground about 10 days and is growing a lot. The plant cage is 12” tall so it’s doing well. I put guards around my new plants for a little while because I have bunnies who love tender young leaves.

I got 2 mystery plants (one indoor and one outdoor). The indoor was a pilea and the outdoor plant was a white blackberry. White blackberry was dramatic, but it’s making a comeback and the pilea is doing great!

Need to upgrade your packaging. I would suggest taping the plant in place in the cardboard tube on the count that it slid and smashed itself. Luckily, it's a strong plant and should recover. Hoping.for the best.

The plant arrived after a few delivery reroutes. It came with three leaves two so far are healthy one was dying and has since died. The two remaining leaves appear to be doing well.
