Golden Pothos | Epipremnum aureum | Devil’s Ivy | Epipremnum ‘Golden’

Golden Pothos is a vigorous, incredibly resilient trailing evergreen vine (widely grown as a house plant in cooler climates) prized for its lush, heart-shaped leaves beautifully marbled with striking golden-yellow and bright green variegation. This classic, highly adaptable selection is known for its fast-growing, cascading habit and its remarkable ability to thrive in a wide variety of indoor environments. Its trailing vines make it a standout choice for hanging baskets, high shelves, and sophisticated indoor plant collections. With its forgiving nature and air-purifying qualities, Golden Pothos offers a vibrant, natural aesthetic and lush texture with exceptionally straightforward care.

Growing Golden Pothos

Light: Bright, indirect light; thrives in well-lit indoor spaces and maintains the most vibrant golden variegation when given adequate light. It is highly adaptable and will tolerate low light, though the leaves may revert to solid green.

Soil: Rich, well-drained potting mix; prefers a standard indoor blend amended with perlite to ensure excellent aeration and prevent water from pooling at the roots.

Water: Moderate; water thoroughly when the top two inches of soil feel dry. It is highly forgiving of occasional missed waterings and prefers to dry out slightly rather than sitting in heavy, soggy soil.

Maintenance: Exceptionally low maintenance. Wipe the leaves gently with a damp cloth occasionally to remove dust. Trim back long, trailing stems to encourage a fuller, bushier shape at the crown, and easily propagate the cuttings in water.

Wildlife: Keep away from pets; toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Primarily grown for its lush decorative foliage.

Hardiness: Perennial in USDA zones 10–12; widely grown as a year-round house plant in cooler regions.

Shipping Info
